Marble-look bathroom with underfloor heating and freestanding bath.

The client in Gothenburg wanted a bathroom that felt like a small private spa – durable where it matters, but with a clear sense of luxury. The starting point was an older, worn bathroom that was stripped back to the frame so it could be rebuilt properly from the ground up. The layout was designed to give both bath and shower a natural place without the room feeling cramped.

We started with underfloor heating and a poured levelling screed, then applied waterproofing to the Swedish BBV industry rules with full documentation on both floor and walls. Walls and floor were clad in large-format tiles in a grey marble look that gives few joints and a cohesive expression. The shower zone was enclosed behind glass, and the room got a freestanding bath, a black vanity with a countertop basin and a backlit oval mirror. Recessed spotlights and warm timber accents balance the stone feel.

The result is a bathroom where every surface is considered. The underfloor heating makes the tiles pleasant to walk on, the waterproofing gives a secure construction and the marble look ties shower, bath and vanity together as a whole. The project was completed in five weeks, delivered at a fixed price and included ROT-eligible work.
