Bathroom and laundry combined in one well-planned room.

The bathroom in Kungsbacka was to become more than a new bathroom. The client wanted to combine shower, vanity and laundry in the same room and get a functional wet zone that serves the whole family's everyday life. The starting point was a worn bathroom that was stripped out so it could be rebuilt properly from the ground up.

We stripped back to the frame, built new walls and applied waterproofing to the Swedish BBV industry rules with full documentation. Walls and floor were clad in large-format tiles in a warm greige tone that gives a calm expression and few joints to keep clean. A built-in bench was created for the washer and dryer, with a worktop and sink on top, so the laundry gets its own place without taking over the room. Black details were chosen throughout against the light tiles – rain shower and thermostatic mixer plus towel radiator – and the room got recessed spotlights together with a round LED ceiling light for both working light and softer evening light.

The result is a bathroom where shower, vanity and laundry share a well-planned layout without feeling cramped. The open shower zone with black fittings is the room's focal point, the window lets in daylight and the built-in laundry area makes everyday life easier. The project was delivered at a fixed price, finished in four weeks and as ROT-eligible work.
